Description: A large company seeks an Actuary Manager with a healthcare background.
Duties:
- Provide leadership to monthly estimation process with emphasis on analyzing results to identify early signs of trends or other issues related to medical care costs
- Communicate findings toExecutive management and design/implement appropriate follow-up analyses
- Design and perform projections and analysis to support capitation rate negotiations, RFP development, Medicare pricing for MAPD and Part D, acquisition risk analysis and other state and regulatory dialogs relative to projected medical care cost and risk adjustment issues
- Collaborate with VP of Government Affairs and Plan CEOs and CFOs as necessary
- Provide technical guidance and coaching to actuarial department staff
- Stay abreast of professional developments including new techniques, standards of practice, related accounting requirements etc.

Requirements: Requirements Include:
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting or a related field
- 8-10 years of professional actuarial experience
- 2+ years of medicare actuary experience
- Demonstrated ability to apply technical expertise to real world problems with a direct approach that demands results
- Stellar oral and written communications skills
- Proven ability to communicate technical concepts to all levels of the organization
- Must have ASA; Fellow of the Society of Actuaries is preferred
- Must have Member of the American Academy of Actuaries
